Harmony owners Really really stuck
I know I posted this problem earlier but I am really stuck,I know the double bed makes up useing the two tables which sit on rails on the edge of the sofa,on the sofa they go all the way along to take both tables, but on the single seat which converts on sliding gear to lay flat, there is only one rail long enough for only one table, its almost like something is missing but I just dont know, any advice would be great..thank you...Algy

This is a long shot. Is there (or supposed to be) a projection on the bottom of the seat base that the table can rest on ?

Yes your right there is a rail attached to the sofa the full lenght which takes 2 tables in length, but and heres the but when I convert the seat next to the sliding door it simply slides into a sofa with moving a lever at the base.but this side has only enough rail to accommodate one table.thanks...Algy

If you have a look at this Ebay listing 320697958492 you can see when the bed is made to 2 singles on the left hand side you can see there is only enough rail to take one table, but on the right on the sofa side thre is a full length...thanks ..Algy

Re: Harmony owners Really really stuck
Algy,
I've been at the Summer Fair Motorhome show at Shrewsbury this weekend and I found a couple with a Harmony so I've had a look and a chat with them for you. Unfortunately when they bought it they were only given the small table so have never made up the double bed. Anyway they showed me what fitting there was and we worked out between us how it would be done.
As you said there is a ledge the length of the long sofa for the tables to rest on. When you slide the single seat into a flat sofa there is the matching ledge on the 'seat' base and if you feel under the edge of the slid out seat you have a metal frame, put your fingers between the frame and the cushion and you can feel a similar ledge, although it is an inch or so further back than the one on the 'seat'. Without the other table we were unable to actually make up the bed but I'm sure it can be done.

Thank you Paul you were bang on,its exactly how you said,to get the table in you need to move the sofa to chair position then low and behold the table just drops in..so well done and thanks again...just one more question in the kitchen area next to the 13amp socket there is a flat to the wall bit of electrical kit with a battery on it and when I turn on the 12v and press it a grenn light comes on ..is it the leisure battery condition, and after repaceing the damaged relay next to the leisure battery,is there anything I need to have turned on to tell me its charging this battery when I am driving....thanks again the bed had drove me mad but now resolved...Algy

Glad the bed's sorted but I can't help with the kitchen switch as I haven't got that, all my dials and switches are on my control panel over the back door. we've left the show now so can't check with the Harmony people who sorted your bed problem. Someone on here must have a similar switch. Maybe if you send a pm to member 'bartfarst' he may help as he has a Harmony.

Algy Bartfast and Vardy have Harmony's they will be along shortly to help you we did not have this on our Harmony but it looks to be a match for the socket so it looks like an Auto-Sleepers item

Sorry, my 1995 Harmony does not have this feature either. As Paulmold says, my battery condition monitor is also part of the Zig unit above the rear door. What age is this Harmony, and what does the Zig unit look like I wonder?

Re: Harmony owners Really really stuck
I don't have that switch on mine - just the zig unit over the back doors.
However, on my old style zig unit you turn on the 12v switch and there is a button marked with batt symbol.- which when pressed lights up red or green to show if there is any charge in the leisure battery.
I wonder if it's a simple forerunner of that system, possibly with combined switch to turn 12v on and monitor charge at same time?
Missed your post about the bed - glad it sorted now. Have you got the retrofit kit to put between front seats to make the huge bed? I got autosleepers to make mine as it was cheaper than me messing about. It was £80 but had all cushions draloned and zipped. I could make blueprints if needed!
What year is your conversion? Mine is Jan '95 on a 94 Talbot 1.9D.
I am a bit obssessed with it and can drivel on for hours, so feel free to ask.

Algy it looks as if you must have had an eary Harmony with 3 vans now not having this unit it may be that a e-mail to Auto-Sleepers is the only way to get an answer unless there is another Harmony out there

Re: Harmony owners Really really stuck
Now I've seen the photo, I recognise that as being your water heater switch for operating on gas. It is in a totally different position to my Symphony. The top light shows when all is well, the middle light with the symbol of a battery is to show when your battery is below the necessary voltage to operate the ignition and the bottom light with the symbol of a flame with a line through it is to show that the flame has extinquished.
Although mine has the name Carver Cascade Rapide on it, it is exactly the same but must be after Carver were bought out by Truma.
Can you now post a picture of your electric control panel (Zig?) so we can see if your battery charging light is on there which is what your original query was about.
