Special Steps. Empty Special Steps.

Post by BML Sun Jun 30, 2013 9:42 pm

I have a motor home and the entry into it is a problem because I have problems with my knees that make it difficult to use normal steps. The knees will only allow me to lift my body up a small level at a time. I set up two steps using slabs of wood and found that the optimum step height for me is 7" for the fist step with the top step being 11" from floor height to the top. Apart from making my own steps can anyone suggest where I could find what I want?

Hi Bml,we install adapted bathrooms and often the O.T has asked for steps to be built into the house. If these cannot be brick built we have in the past had them fabricated at a workshop that deals with alumininum. You could consider having some made, that way you will get exactly what you need and importantly they will be safe. You could have them folding so as to get stowed in the m/h.Just a tought, hope it helps........cheers..Algy

Great, there is such a place just up the road from me and I'll give them a call.
