Steps Empty Steps

Post by Dynamic Wed 28 Jul 2021 - 14:36

Does anyone know of a supplier of folding metal steps?  I really need two steps to help getting into the sliding door of my transit based Duetto.  I have seen the Milenco two step plastic ones but these are somewhat bulky to carry when travelling. [together with spaniel in crate, external blinds etc!].   Failing all else I will have to get the Milenco ones.
Thanks in anticipation.  Sue

Hi Sue

Put "folding two step" into Amazon, and take your choice.  up!

Some of them would sink into soft ground though, so you need to take that into account.

I'd look at this one. Good make, looks pretty stable, and unlikely to sink in much.  >> SEE HERE <<

Hi Sue - if you need a double step I can’t help I’m afraid. But if a single step would do, I use this one.  I purchased it and found it strong and reliable and folds up small enough to store at the side of the passenger seat in the cab (mines a different van but still a Peugeot boxer).  It’s recommended for indoor use only and to use on flat surfaces, so it may not be suitable for you.

Hi Sue, we have Kampa aluminium double folding step. These fold very flat, are easy to open and sturdy .

We’ve had the step about 5/6 years, used every trip without a problem.

We have the spaniel too.

Many thanks to everyone who has responded to my enquiry.  Sorry for the delay in replying I have been away !   I am hoping to order the Kampa aluminium double step as it looks to be what I require.
Yet again ASOF members have helped me - you are a great bunch of people.
Thank you .
Sue
