Re: Sliding windows
I have used stiff galvanised wire of about 16 swg. Was your wire of the "bendy" kind?.
I have heard of these holes being blocked with dried mastic, so if this is the case then a good push will be needed.

They probably won't know if it's a base vehicle problem???carlc wrote:Hi tried and failed. Does the hole go straight down. Going Malvern show next week will ask autosleepers
Ask Dave Newell. He's a well respected motorhome technician, and he will be there with his van. If necessary you could ask him to come and sort it for you. I've never dealt with him, but those who have say he's scrupulously honest, and will not over charge.

Re: Sliding windows
These windows are removable. We had one changed by AS as the sliding catch was broken. Talk to AS, removal is a bit of a fiddle, but AS had it in and out in 5 mins.

As for asking Autosleepers - they won't be there as manufacturers, only dealers' salesmen. The only show AS actually attend is the NEC one.carlc wrote:Hi tried and failed. Does the hole go straight down. Going Malvern show next week will ask autosleepers

Re: Sliding windows
Have you tried ringing them? They may talk you through it. From memory, there is a couple of clips at the top of the window(?) that allows the window to pop out. That's the best I can do.
