Red flashing light !

My camper has been off the road for 12 months, we have just got her back on the road and a red light is flashing constantly on the RH side of the dash board. The peugeot garage assures me its something that has been added as part of the conversion. The van does have an alarm system, but in the 6 years that we have had the van we have never used, or set any alarm. Any ideas

Any chance of posting a photo? Is the red light in with the instruments or on the switch panel?

BTW you're better putting "Symphony" in your profile rather than Peugeot, it gives people a better idea of what may be wrong if they know which beast they're dealing with.
