fiamma back box
I'm looking for a fiamma back box - considering the 360 or 500 litres - to go on the back of a Talisman (bike rack). Although I have the measurements and volume details, it's difficult to visualise the size, and how much it will hold. Do any of you have one of these boxes on a similar vehicle - what can you get in it? and would the 500 be too big for the Talisman? Any advice from those with experience of using one of these would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re-Fiamma back box
Hi
I have a 500 Fiamma ultra box fitted onto my bike rack, on my 09 Nuevo, should be O.K on your van.
180 box 70cm high x 80cm long x 38 wide.weighs 6.5 kg 50kg carrying capacity
320 box 70 x 100 x 53 x 12.0
360 box 70 x 147 x 38 x 14.0
500 box 70 x 147 x 53 x 17.0.
Plenty of used boxes on e-bay with photos, I paid £200 for a 500 box last month.

Hi bonnie
Fiamma boxes appear sometimes in the classified section on the Caravan clubs website, type in fiamma box into the search area on the home page.
Also out and about live have a classifieds section on their website.
also adtrader.

Do these boxes obscure the kitchen window
Hi,
I have 2004 Nuevo ES with bike rack and thinking about a back box, do they end up obscuring the kitchen window??

Depends how far up the the rear body your bike rack is mounted, the top 6 ins of my 500 box appears in my rear view, not really a problem as I tend to use my wing mirrors anyway.

Thanks for the comment
I have been looking at these boxes online,
I am having trouble understanding(because of the way the lid opens) how you can usefully use the top space in the box, is it fitted with retaining luggage straps?
I thought that they would be more like trunks with the lid on top.

Re-Fiamma back box
Hi Flynn
I can load 3 good sized plastic storage containers on the bottom of my 500 box, build upwards with other items filling the box, leave a space at the ends for the gas struts to locate into. use the straps and netting to hold the items in place. your items should sit straight if secured.
if you want a trunk type box, you may need the roof box
