Topaz ordered!

Not a new one, unfortunately, but a 2007 VW T5 2.5ltr. Only 13000 miles though, so hardly run in!
Returning to VW camper ownership after xxx years; not quite managed to eject the kids from the nest yet but they are looking forward to more weeks and week-ends without the embarrassing 'rents cluttering up the place.
I packed in work last year and Janet is giving up teaching at Christmas so (at last) we will be get away from expensive school holiday periods.

Welcome from another Topaz owner and we are almost neighbours as we live in Gt Manchester.

Got ours a couple of months ago but we haven't used it much yet as it developed a leak - most unusual we were told by dealers who managed to sort it by replacing seals. Still, all sorted now and we are planning our holidays next year. Out last Monday - Dunham Massey - it's just as good for a picnic as it is for a weekend away.

If we see you on the M6 or M60 we will wave.

Picked up the Topaz on Saturday... you can now all expect atrocious weather for a few weeks!

Hi, Hope you checked the plastic trims. I have a 2007 Topaz and had to have the Washroom changed out due to cracks around the basin hinges and where the piano hinge fixes on the wardrobe door, in my mind due to the fixing screws. Also had the cant rails replaced, by myself due to cost, cracks where the screws were put in to tight. Just noticed cracks around the plastic surround on the sliding door/ blind area. Motorhomes of excellance! I think not. Otherwise a nice van, VW replaced the ABS unit £800 after 3.5 years and only charged me the labour. Now have a Caravan I tow with the Topaz, wow really tows well plenty of power hardly know it's there. It also has only done 12000 miles, Autosleepers say my faults are due to wear and tear!!!!
