Acrylic Window Cloudy Empty Acrylic Window Cloudy

Bought a symbol with the driver’s side acrylic (?) sliding windows being very cloudy. It’s opposite window is fine. I thought that a cleaning compound would fix it but with no success. Any ideas or will I have to live with it?

Assuming it's the double-layer type, is it definitely only cloudy on the outside and not the inside?

If so, it's possible that a previous owner has tried to clean/polish it with the wrong type of compound. You should (in theory) be able to polish it yourself with something like Peek or one of the more specialist compounds - but it is (from personal experience) very slow work! Apparently you can machine polish but if so, you must keep moving, and you must avoid heat build-up.

Plenty of suggestions on Google by searching 'cloudy acrylic windows '
Using ammonia based cleanser or white spirit is probably what caused it to go cloudy.
