3ltr Stratford 3 yrs old for £16995
Can this really be true? It's a dealer, it's on their website....

Re: 3ltr Stratford 3 yrs old for £16995
Just had a quick look.
The back doors are wrong aren't they ? Ou
The cooking area isn't like ours
Doesn't look like AS seats at the back.not padded enough
Bathroom Sink isn't right.
Not the right fridge.
The grey material round the doors behind the cooking area.
I would be careful if anyone is thinking of seriously buying it. I don't think it is a full AS, some looks right but some so wrong.
Just read it more carefully and it says Stratford styled in smaller letters.

"Beautiful MWB Peugeot Boxer styled on the Autosleeper Stratford"
So it's not actually an AS Stratford, is it? "Styled on" a Stratford but made out of cheap units and pretty poor looking upholstery.
Nearly 3 years old but zero previous owners and a mileage of 10 miles!

Well spotted, I didn't see that. I just knew it couldn't be right. I googled Leeds Leisure Vehicles and there are some pretty awful reviews (as well as some good ones) including 'known to trading standards' and 'taking to small claims court' amongst others. Steer clear I think.

A quick glance and most people might be fooled but as previously stated the seats are a give away.
Well spotted.

There seem to be an increasing number of cases where people are trying to pass off bum vehicles as genuine Autosleeper vans and the forum is doing a valuable service in exposing these scams. I wonder however what Autosleeper themselves are doing about this - surely they should be able, and it is their interest, to take legal action against dealers passing off sham vehicles as genuine AS?
Perhaps the people at AS don't read this forum!!

It is pretty hard to sue someone for saying "styled" on something, though. Really annoying.

Hi there,
Just to say that I really appreciate the way in which Forum Members keep an eye out for the scams and misrepresentations that concern Auto-sleeper Motorhomes.
It must be very reassuring for people who are considering a purchase and doing their homework before they actually commit themselves.
Many thanks.
Best regards,
Ian
