Leisure battery query. Empty Leisure battery query.

Happy New Year fellow travellers, fortunately not needed any help for that long).
I naively let my leisure battery (Newmax 80Ah C20) run flat for a period of time. I have had it on trickle charge for several days now but the max reading is stuck on 7.8. The sight glass on the battery itself is showing a bright green though. Is my leisure battery Kaput ? !!!!!!

I have recovered car batteries from the dead using a multi stage smart charger. What charger are you trickle charging with?
Out of interest, how old is your leisure battery?

Like the one @IanH posted above. I use the one linked below.

In basic terms, a battery that appears to be failing on occasion, mostly due to sulphate build up, can be repaired or recovered to a level whereby it charges and retains the charge. So a pulse charger sends high voltage in short, then longer burst to get the cell or plate hot enough that the sulphate will dissolve without constant charging/heat which will damage the battery.
