Europe breakdown
We have breakdown provided by the AA through our Nationwide Flex Account. It covers motorhomes and thankfully we have never needed it. Interested to know if anyone has used the above in Europe and the outcome.I assume it sufficient but maybe there are better providers that would require a direct premium.

Re: Europe breakdown
We have had to use CAMC Red Pennant a couple of times as has the friend we are travelling with at the moment. Their service is exemplary as it was when our friend suffered a puncture last Sunday en route from the Alsace to Germany.
As well as arranging repair they have fluent European language speakers on duty to speak to the attending technician and make follow up calls to you for the next few days to make sure all is well.
The insurance is not cheap but is worth every penny.

I have Brittania rescue via CSMA, but need to get travel insurance which will cost me this year due to AF. Have you used Red Pennant for travel?Peter Brown wrote:We have had to use CAMC Red Pennant a couple of times as has the friend we are travelling with at the moment. Re: Europe breakdown
We bought Red Pennant last year for both breakdown and medical insurance. We didn't have to use them for anything but the experience of buying it was excellent. Our normal travel insurers (medical) take you through everything but the Red Pennant adviser was really helpful and much simpler.

To answer your question directly, we also have the flex plus cover with Nationwide and HAVE used it in Europe, worked perfectly. Have also claimed for lost baggage and flight delays and again no quibbles, paid out immediately. We don't have any other cover and do not see the need to change or get extra.
