Nuevo ES OverCab bed - damp ??
Been looking at an advert for a 2007 Nuevo on the X250 chassis - must be one of the first made
One photo shows the OverCab bed but there looks to be at the front wall either wallpapering on lining board peeling off and sagging suggesting damp or else it is lined with material/fabric which has begun to stretch and has sagged over time ?
There is a roof vent just above which I guess could leak or else there could be condensation as it's an outer wall.
There's also.a screw head on left where there is a metal.joining strip where it looks like the headlining is puckering round it or it's been taken off and replaced not quite in right position but it's difficult to tell on the photo.
Does anyone have one of these and can let me know what is going on ,?
I will try to post the picture below.
Would rather not waste time driving long distance to view if there's a damp issue.
Any other areas where these let in damp ?
Thanks in advance.

The two main danger points are the sky light or the side lights on the front of the cab. I would check the skylight first on a van that age.
I had to take the plywood liner off once to free a glued in side light. It can be done - if you are a contortionist.
Good luck

It could be that the adhesive has failed allowing the lining to come away from the plywood backing. This is common on pre 2007 Nuevos. I replaced the roof lining on our 2006 Nuevo because of this problem, took about 4 hrs to do but was worth it as the only insulation was up there was a very thin blanket type so replaced it with proper stuff.

damp?
Had this with mine, no damp, the glue gets brittle and the padding comes away, bit of a job but get the screws out and then reglue, if you look at it that bulkhead is like a space craft re-entering back to the earth, the sun is constantly on it, so no wonder the glue fails .

The van sold today anyway so now an academic discussion. I wouldn't have been able to view it until this weekend.
I was also suspicious as it was priced very cheap, for a van with all the options - air con reversing camera cruise bike rack 6 gears more powerful engine etc.
About £5k cheaper than similar spec on market...
So not surprised it sold within a few days.
I guess someone took a chance on it.
