Interior Squeaks
In Moi
Our van went back to the factory to have this problem resolved. It seemed to have been done. The kitchen cupboards were taken off and refitted. Insulation was put around the electrical cables behind. The problem has continued after first thinking it had been fixed. We have put wedges of plastic and card in several gaps between the cupboards and fixing pieces of wood, to no avail. The noise is dreadful. We have even taken off one of the roof light housings in case the noise was coming from there. Not so! The noise is constantly there, both whilst moving and when we walk through the van. Have any other Warwick owners experienced this problem? If so have you managed to resolve it? Jan & Dave Davies

Seeing you give a membership number makes me believe that you think this forum is associated with the Auto-Sleeper Owners Club, that is not the case although many people (including myself) are members of both this Forum and the Owners Club.
I'm afraid that squeaks and rattles are part of Motorhome life but usually only when the vehicle is being driven and its not such a problem in van conversions such as yours. There are plenty ow Warwick owners on the forum so I expect you'll get some van specific advice.

Re: Interior Squeaks
The only squeaking noise I sometimes hear when stationary and moving through the van is from the rear brakes, if on the flat releasing the handbrake and leaving in gear stops this.
On the move I have managed to stop all but one, the worst offender was the oven door which I now place a small piece of foam between the door and surround before closing.
I have read that the microwave has been a issue for some folks.

Re: Interior Squeaks
I have recently cured a squeak which I thought was around kitchen unit area and has alluded me for months. Turned out to be rubber seal around sliding door which back in winter I treated with gummi fleg (seal conditioner). Just as a long shot I cleaned it off and very lightly applied a film of silicon grease. Silence. Guess slight flex on side door in motion was the cause. Not saying that is your problem but won’t hurt to look at that area.

Re: Interior Squeaks
The sub-heading of your post refers to the squeak coming from the microwave. One of the idiosyncrasies of this forum is that the sub-header only appears in the list view of posts and not within the body of the post. Best to avoid sub-headings.
I only spotted the reference to the microwave and your mention of a high pitched squeak because it reminded me of a similar occurrence in our previous van, a 2015 Kemerton. It was fitted with a Daewoo microwave and I traced the teeth-jarring sound to the door hinges of the appliance. They were rudimentary, such that the vertical play in the hinge pins caused a horrendous metal-to-metal screech almost constantly. I sprayed the pins with white lithium grease and it solved the problem immediately.

Re: Interior Squeaks
I have a 2020 WXL, this has a Dometic Microwave which squeaked quite badly. I eventually traced the noise source to be the rubber feet, these resemble small door stops and are screwed into the bottom of the microwave. The front two feet are secured to the mounting bracket from underneath with countersunk screws. The securing screws had rattled loose on all four feet resulting in the noise. I removed the microwave (be careful, the magnetron makes it heavy on one side) and applied Loctite to the screws and tightened them up, this cured my problem for the microwave squeaks. Other sources of noise were the drop down work top extension, lower cupboard doors, drawers and the toilet door. These are easily remedied by applying stick backed draught excluder rubber tape (not foam) to the inside edges of the doors and drawers where they make contact with the frame. The overhead lockers had their latching mechanism adjusted so more tension held the doors closed. It's a bit of a cat and mouse game tracking them down one by one and eliminating them, van life I guess. I still have an annoying rattle coming from the front panel of the overhead shelf, still not been able to solve this one, yet!!

I have a similar problem with my 2015 Warwick XL I have a banging creaking noise that appears to come from the side panel above the fridge below the microwave i took it back to the dealer the said it was probably the wiring loom hitting and rubbing on the back of the panel and there was nothing they could do. Which probably means that there is no insulation behind said panel, sigh.kevjan wrote:I have a similar problem with my 2015 Warwick XL I have a banging creaking noise that appears to come from the side panel above the fridge below the microwave i took it back to the dealer the said it was probably the wiring loom hitting and rubbing on the back of the panel and there was nothing they could do. Re: Interior Squeaks
I removed my rear door panels to insulate them properly, it was a total joke how it had been done by AS so I'm guessing the rest of the van will be the same. The insulation test that they allegedly carry out on these vans must be of a pretty low standard.
