2024 Symbol heating on mains electric
I was sitting yesterday in my new Symbol wondering where to put everything in the limited storage at hand.
I had the heating on electric as I was hooked up to the house mains when, suddenly, I heard it go off.
Went to the Whale control panel but only the gas sign would light up.
It was working perfectly well on gas but I don’t want to dip into that limited supply when the house has a roof full of solar panels.
Has anyone out there an inkling of why this has happened?
Before I chuck the van back to Marquis!

Are the 230V sockets still working, and is there a lightning symbol at the top of the control panel? If not then maybe the fuse in your mains adapter has blown.

The 230v sockets are OK & the microwave is working, the mains juice is coming in, it just seems to be the electric bit of the Whale heater.

The middle 16A circuit breaker on the EC700 (under the oven) is for the space heater. Has it tripped?

It was indeed that you suggested, orange light now on & heater working.
Many thanks, saves another trip to Marquis although it has to go back for other niggles.
They don’t build ‘em like they used to!!

Glad it's sorted, but it shouldn't really have happened. If it's going back anyway at some point I'd mention it to them and get them to check it over.
