Creaking sliding door.
We have noticed while driving that there is a very annoying creaking sound coming from the rear.
I stood in the back today whilst my wife drove the van and it appears as though the sound is coming from the sliding door. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to stop this?
Maybe the door seal needs lubrication and if so what should I use?
Any advice would be appreciated as the noise is very irritating when driving.

Re: Creaking sliding door.
Lots of previous problems with rattles from the sliding door blind, could it be that?

Try talcum powder on the door seal.

I just kept adjusting the sliding door until I got it adjusted right.

+1 for Paul's comment on the blind. We had creaks and rattles from the sliding door, but it turned out to be the frame of the blind in the door. I took the cladding off and packed around the frame. This seemed to solve the issue.

Re: Creaking sliding door.
See my posts on General Grabber AT3 tyres. Since fitting these we have a much much smoother ride and far fewer rattles and bangs compared to the original Contivan tyres.
We too had severe rattles from the sliding door blind cartridge, which was only loosely secured into the door frame by four self tapping screws through very flimsy tin angle brackets, with just one screw in each so they can twist loose. The screw holes had been drilled over size and only two screws were holding at all. I re-secured the blind using larger self tappers, with note to self to make/buy some more substantial angle brackets if the problem recurred.
I also found that all 14 of the drawer/cupboard catches were “buzzing.” The metallic push buttons were rattling in the actual handle castings. I took the catches apart and wrapped a single turn of sellotape around each push button, which cured that one.
But the smoother ride on more supple tyres really does make a big difference overall.

Result!
Update on the creaking door issue. I took the van for a spin this morning and the creaking had got noticeably worse, so much so it was driving me insane.
Upon arriving home I was determined to find the problem and I am glad to report that I have. The culprits were the top and bottom locator plates not sure what the correct name is. A small amount of copper grease applied and no more creaking .
On to the next dozen or so rattles now .
