sliding door
Hi all, sorry another question, I have tried searching but found nothing, so has anyone got any idea's how to stop the rain running down the side of the van and dripping in the top of the sliding door. It is fine at the front as the awning light acts as a gutter but it is from the light back it drips in, so any suggestions what i can use as a gutter. Kevin

Hi Kevin. I'm new here, but we use a pool noodle (I think they're called that) and squeeze it between the awning canopy and the van. It's not perfect, but keeps the thick out and only costs a couple quid.
It's one of those sponge pipes that help you float.
Hope that helps.

Re: sliding door
There is actually a seal that is placed between the awning and the van roof to stop rain running down

Re: sliding door
Looks like it could be SuperGypo idea, spoke to nice man at Hill View awning they say awning needs to come off to fit the foam strip and wife doesn't like the idea of a rubber gutter stuck to side of van. So piece of foam wedged in could be the way to go. Thanks for the tip's. Kevin

Re: sliding door
There is enough room to fit this with out removing the awning as it will just fit to the van roof under the awning case and divert the rain water
The one in the link is white foam, black is more money
Cancelled the other strip and ordered this one

Re: sliding door
Hi my son works for a window company and the use some sort of foam that after it’s stuck on it expands he is going to get me some to try. Suppose to be about 5mm thick but when once fitted expands to fill a gap. We will see. Kevin

Re: sliding door
The foam sealing strip arrived yesterday, a quick test fit in between the rain and it seals the gap, once the rain has stopped I will be fitting

Re: sliding door
Fitted the seal this morning, quite straight forward with out removing the awning, put it in place with an extra bit sticking out then peeled the backing paper and pulled it slowly back on its self, once all the backing removed I used a flat strip of smooth Wood( an old school ruler ) to flatten it and get the adhesive stuck, it said weather proof so let hope it holds
