EIS Failure
Hi,
I have a 2019 Burford which suffered EIS module failure due to water ingress. This unit prevents the van starting, ie dead! This unit is located in the passenger well external bulkhead and any water ingress/condensation from the windscreen ends up running down the cables goes straight into electrical connector. Mercedes have made a "boot" to cover the EIS so they know there is a problem. They wont however accept its not a design failure so no recall. For those with similar van I suggest you get at least the boot installed because it can probably fail at the most inopportune time!! PS its not cheap to replace either!!
