Autosleepers in Germany

Just done a 3 week tour in Germany didnt see any other Autosleepers!

I’m not surprised. I’ve been in Germany nearly a month and have hardly seen any UK vans at all. I did glimpse an Auto-Sleeper going the other way on an autobahn but I don’t remember where, somewhere near Munich.

Currently in Austria, spotted a similar age van (same graphics and colour) as ours on a campsite near Innsbruck earlier this week. Apart from that location we’ve seen no other UK vans since leaving Calais two weeks ago.

We’re over here most years and are always struck by how much of a novelty we seem to be, judging by the lingering looks and stares … steering wheel and sliding door on the opposite side always amuses the locals. 

Our German neighbours last night were amazed at the layout of the van, so different from their ubiquitous half-dinettes.
