Thinkware dashcam install
I have a Thinkware Q800pro dashcam that I need to re install on a Puegoet Cab Autosleeper Nuevo 2022. This has come of my old Motorhome and I have been quoted £166 to re install!
These things can be difficult to install? I need a hardwire kit, some fused tails and permanent and switched fuse position. Has anyone done one one a Puegoet cab that they can share photo's / experience? I need to make sure that this fits behind the blinds.
Regards,
BOOMEL

Purely out of curiosity - why is there a link to a post on Motorhomefun in you post, linked to the word "cab"?
It seems an odd place to put a link (not least because I doubt that there are many people here who need an explanation of what "cab" means!).

It’s there because it’s a copy and paste of the same post on MotorhomeFun

Ah, that would explain it and the Size 19 font - both have been added by the Motorhomefun text editor, and then copied and pasted across.
I must admit the auto-adding of links is an increasingly common feature (thankfully not on this forum though), and it's one that I hate - because the links are almost always irrelevant to the content of the post.

Re dashcams....
Worth reading the legality re these in EU countries.
For example. A complete no no in Luxembourg where they are illegal.
Switzerland iffy too..read it up

In Switzerland apparently.
"Although legal, there are rules for dash cams, firstly you need lawful reason, secondly everyone recorded by the camera must be aware and lastly you can only record key events not ordinary driving "

Nor would you Mike, but the usage of any recordings would be a legal nightmare. We drove through Luxembourg unaware of the illegality, that didn't make it right!mikeelawson wrote:

its all a risk vs reward game. We sell electric bikes in our shops. We warn customers about chipping them, but a good 10% still do despite our vary stringent warning (aside of the warranty issues).
