Project 2000 side step Empty Project 2000 side step

We have a 2018 duo, and the step is not retracting. It starts to retract and then seems to hit a solid object and stops. We have tried jet washing any dirt, no success.
Any advice please.

May need to dismantle step and see if any damage or if it just needs a good clean

Prob a broken gear in the gearbox I replaced my step earlier this year with the same issue.

Many thanks for your replies, one of the arms had come off and was jamming the retracting.
