A Website that confirms you are not alone
This old lad was the original Grump on the 'net in Britain. Perhaps I've missed it but I find no reference to him in this thread. A gently warning though; he is (was) VERY grumpy. I say 'was', because the site still functions but has been 'parked' for a couple of months now and is no longer updated. Still, if you ever think that the entire world has simply lost the plot, there is still consolation to be found here:

Brilliant!
I subscribe to the theory "For evil to prevail all good men have to do is - nothing!"
At the moment the UK Press is waxing lyrical about the man seeking asylum in the Ecuadorian Embassy and even the Foreign Secretary is talking about "rescinding diplomatic immunity" and "going in" to remove the man.
Two things:
1. The law that was passed to allow suspension of "diplomatic privilege" for premises in the UK was in response to a man shooting a policewoman; it was NEVER passed for something so trivial as entering premises to remove someone accused of a sex offence in another country.
2. If we suspend "diplomatic privilege" in the UK we endanger EVERY UK diplomat who is out there in the world representing our interests!
I thought William Haigh was a plank when he was only fifteen years old and addressed a Tory conference; and since then he has done nothing to make me change my mind!
Best regards,
