Re: Control panel
Yes it should turn your ceiling lights on or off. Have you tried it with the power switched on and off, does that do anything different?

Re: Control panel
May be worth removing panel, unplug cable , leave a minute before replacing plug.

Re: Control panel
Do you have a way of switching lights on without touching that button? If you have I'd leave it till you're home and can switch everything off, mains and power supply unit. Otherwise I'd un hook electric , switch off psu and try but no guarantee . I think the panel surround should lift off revealing screws.

Re: Control panel
Okay paul thanks for that. Yes can switch lights of individualy so will do that and call into dealership that supplied the van. Wife had already said leave it alone till we get home so that is the best thing to do. Thanks for help. Kevin

Re: Control panel
In my 2014 wxl lights can be switched on or off individually, or they are controlled collectively using
1 switch facing side door on back of cooker
2 the switch you are talking about on the control panel
3 the switch under speaker at rear nearside of van.
We tend to leave all three switches well alone and just use individual controls.
On control panel horizontal light shades indicate ceiling lights, while verticle is inside switch for awning light ( also controlled by switch on panel behind cooker)
I am sure there is a good reason for the complexity of the lighting circuits, but beyond my feeble brain to fathom it

Re: Control panel
The button is a light dimming button when used by other campers that use the ec480 control system

According to my manual it turns the ceiling lights on and off, doesn't mention dimming.

Re: Control panel
On our handover, I remember being informed that this button turn the awning light on and off, at which point it was pressed that demonstrated that it had not been configured. I thought it was such a useless feature as the actual awning light switch is easier to access, I left it at that.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Sargent control clearly says light dimming button from the bottom left 2nd button
It may get used for other uses and different age campers used different
Toffee
Do you mean the first button on the left as this is the awning light

Re: Control panel
Thanks all but when we bought the van and had hand over he said and demonstrated it turns main ceiling lights on/off as well as the switch on back of kitchen and a switch at the back by speaker. Why need 3 beats me but I am one of these that believe if it’s fitted it should work so still under warranty so they can sort it. Thanks all. Kevin
