Fresh Water Drain Tap
Hi folks
We have a 2007 Nuevo and the fresh water drain tap has worked loose and water is dripping out.
I was wondering if any of you have had the same thing happen, and whether you have a remedy, or know of how to cure the problem.
The external part of the tap is loose. The internal part seems to be fastened as usual.
Thanks.

Thanks Bob
The tap itself has got tighter to turn on and off recently which is why I think the tap itself has worked loose. Probably need to take it off, lubricate and put back on? Do you think silicon spray would be best as its plastic?

My tap was seized so I doused it with a kettle of boiling water andfreed it off . Then it just slide out upwards. Cleaned it up up and applied silicone lubricant. Job done.

freshwater drain tap.
Just go on the interweb and get a cheap water butt tap and then 'screw' it onto the hose, seems to work fine. You can use a jubilee clip if you need to but I don't find it necessary. I also put a plastic bag over the tap itself as it tends to get clogged with road dust making it hard to turn.nick1962 wrote:Hi folks

Nuevo Drain Taps
I had a similar problem. I took the plastic tap out together with fitting at the back. I then visited a local independent plumbers merchant with parts in hand who supplied me with :BobK wrote:My tap was seized so I doused it with a kettle of boiling water andfreed it off . 3/4 MXF Elbow
3/4 BSP Lever Valve
3/4 Brass Nipple
3/ Poly Washer
The fitting was straight forward, I now have 3/4 inch full bore drain taps, much better than the original fitting, making it much easier to use.
Sorry unable to insert image, but hope this helps.
