12Volt Control Panel
Hi, just bought a 2001 Duetto, got it home, and don't seem to have any power to anything 12volt. Leisure battery is fully charged, have checked fuses by batteries, and looked everywhere for the 12 volt control panel that is mentioned in the handbook. Any ideas anyone?

This probably doesn't help but my 2002 van had the panel above the rear doors. I think you will need to find it in order to turn the 12V power on.

Ok, I have worked it out. From manual description I was looking for a sort of board with trip switches, like the little 240v consumer unit, I didn't realise the switches on the unit with the battery/water gauge were trip switches. Now found the leisure battery is completely shot, 0 volts, and when the engine is running and there is 14.2 volts across the battery terminals, when the engine is running it cuts the supply to the back! Hence no electrics.

The 14.2v across the terminals with engine running is being supplied by the alternator, the No power in the habitation area with engine running is how the system works and is correct, you need a new habitation battery to have electric power in the habitation area

Yes, being new to campervan electrics I didn't realise the habitation power was cut with engine running, thats what confused me. (doesn't take much!) Every day is a schoolday!
