Insect Screens
Hi,
Has anyone fitted an insect screen to the Warwick Duo sliding door? Arrangement seems different to other van conversions due to having the bathroom taking up half of the door opening. Have not found anything yet, and am looking at 'lambs tails'. Any other ideas?
Additionally, anyone fitted a screen to the rear doors? There seems to be a Hinderman and a Reimo out there - has anyone tried any of these?
Many thanks

Re: Insect Screens
I've seen elsewhere that people have adapted those magnetic insect screens to fit .

Re: Insect Screens
Tension rod across the top of the sliding door aperture and 1.5 metres of weighted net curtain ruffled beside the door and with a bit of self adhesive magnetic tape down the side at the front of the van to hold it in place. Total cost was around £10. Admitted, the door can't be closed with it in situ but that doesn't bother me too much.
Not done the back door yet but I have seen a similar set up but the person used a magnetic insect screen rather than a bit of curtain as Paul has said..

Re: Insect Screens
We have a Nozone screen of on the Kemerton. It’s a reasonable compromise, doesn’t foul any fitted furniture and the sliding door can be opened and closed with it in place, whether the screen is rolled up or unrolled.

Re: Insect Screens
We have a Sussex Duo. Rear doors we bought two stringy screens from Dunelm. Fixes a expanding rod across the doors on the inside. Swimbo made small fabric strips and attached to the side panels in the corners. Works well . Same for the sliding door with a rod across and a couple of cup hooks to fit the rod too. Fitted the big woolly type fly screen.Rocky wrote:Hi,

We have the (expensive) Hindermann blinds in our Kingham and they work a treat. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/url]

Thanks Milliways, very useful photos of the rear Hindermann blind, which I will probably get.
Sliding door one will be more difficult as the Warwick Duo has the bathroom occupying half of the sliding door, so your one (which looks great) won't fit.

Interesting pictures Milliways. I also have a Kingham.. Quick question. I assume the blinds need to be removed to shut the door

Re: Insect Screens
No you can shut the door (carefully on side door, easily for back door) and keep them on whilst travelling.
Our back ones have stayed on our whole 2 weeks in France, side ones just for a few days as a bit of a faff keeping them perfectly straight before closing the door.
Would have thought the Warwick would work with bathroom there as much the same as if our kitchen was full height as fits behind.
