Side Door Lubrication
I'm nervous to lubricate my sliding side door on my 2017 Symbol without advice. What is it best to lubricate the runners with ? Bill

I use silicone spray on all the moving parts / rollers , locks and rails, I always buy a couple of cans when Lidl sell it on the middle isle

Chain oil for cycles works for me I used the Muck Off brand dripper or spray.

WD40 or GT85 type aerosol on all the rollers does it for me

WD40 is a water dispersant, not really a very good lubricant. As you say though GT85 is a good penetrative lube, thumbs up for that, I mix it with a mall amount of moly lube.

As mentioned above, bike chain oil or GT-85. It's definitely work scrubbing the track and removing any debris beforehand.

Personally I think adding lube to runners just let’s all the debris stick to it, then you end up with a right sticky mess to remove, I would just keep runners cleaned off, if you can give the rollers metal pin a tiny squirt of WD but wipe off what goes on tracks
