Sink plugs - bring your own !
Holiday parks such as Haven and Parkdean are not our usual type of site but we are on a Hoburne site for the weekend as it is only £95 for 5 nights and that's over Coronation Bank Holiday weekend. Compare that with CAMC for any of their sites.
We stayed at a Parkdean site back in 2018 in Scotland and now this Hoburne site has the same failing in the toilet blocks - no sink plugs ! Apparently because they get stolen ! What sort of people steal sink plugs? Why don't they fit the fixed plunger type? If you ever use this type of site take your own.
Haven often have really cheap deals out of season, have you stayed at a Haven and do they also not have sink plugs?

They don’t even have toilet rolls, soap or sometimes even toilet seats in France. I left a site quite quickly at Dunkirk when I discovered they had just made all the facilities including toilets unisex, and bolted urinals to the outside wall of the building. So everything’s relative

Yes, we once made the mistake of booking a 3 for 1 deal at Haven. Tbh we were more concerned about the state of the pitches and the sleeplessness caused by the noise from the plant room overnight so I didn’t notice the sink plug situation. We left the next morning.

The pitches here are a bit strange. There is a narrow short hardstanding with grass behind and another gravel area adjacent to the grass bit. Obviously designed for car on hardstanding with caravan behind and awning on gravel. With a campervan you just reverse onto hardstanding but if you want to wind out your awning or add your drive-away then you have to reverse further onto the grass.

It was a complete mess, Paul. Furthermore the roadway was very narrow and I don’t think we’d have had room to reverse onto the pitch if a van had been pitched opposite. The plant room noise was the last straw.
It was Seaview at Weymouth.
