VW gutter removal on Trooper or similar
Hi, I’m doing a little maintenance on my 92 Trooper and I’m looking to remove and refit the big grey gutters that go around the roof.
I’ve uncovered the concealed screws 6x down the side and 1x on the front( each side). I assume that once I take these out, I just need to cut through the sealant? I’m not sure of the best way to do this.
I just wondered if anyone had done this job already and had any tips on tools / methods?
Also, how best to reseal the gutters on refitting, assume it’s PU type sealant, but looks tricky to tool it smooth in the limited space at the bottom of the gutter.
Thanks in advance
Rich
