Re: Gas smell outside of van
Top Man, thank you Paul. I tried your link, he would struggle to release the gas, but has put me in touch with Caravan Gas and Boat services Birdham, who I actually buy my LPG from as the do that sort of work.Paulmold wrote:

Left a message, why do these things happen at Bank Holidays?
Thank you again, you have been a great help, I am sure we will get there in the end.

Can you not stick something over the leaking tank, a big blob of blue tack and duct tape and drive to a isolated location, open the doors and windows and turn on the gas hob to vent the gas to atmosphere

Do you have an external gas barbecue point and a long length of hose?

Yes, I did try that and let some gas out yesterday, not got a long hose and cannot find the little connector, but I did unscrew the valve and released some gas.The Bargee wrote:Do you have an external gas barbecue point and a long length of hose?

Re: Gas smell outside of van
Got the tank problem sorted, I think, booked into Propex Ringwood as they seem to be the only place local to me that can dispose of the old gas tank.
Looking forward to the fix and getting away a month late. Eurotunnel changed ok as I paid for a flex ticket. Just need to empty the 99% full old tank now.
Thanks all for your help.
