2006 Symbol 230v switch

Hello everyone, i'm new to this forum and hope that somone might be able to shed some light on this mystery...

I have a 2006 Symbol (Peugeot Boxer).
There is a switch, next to the RCD fusebox in the bottom cupboard under the oven.

It is marked "0" and "230v".
Does anyone know what it is for please ?

Hi AV, on a 2005 Symbol I had,it was a switch to turn on mains hot water heater when on EHU. I think it showed a red light when on. Good luck,Tony.

Whilst I don't know the layout of the Symbol, my Nuevo has 230v switches in various locations, which are for the 230v  power supply to  (a) the electric hob plate; (b) the immersion heater (as TonyB says); and (c) the microwave. Might one of them be relevant? I suspect (b).

Our hob and oven is gas only and we don't have the luxury of a microwave (yet), so the hot water heater sounds likely. I will switch the gas supply off and try the hot water heater when we are next hooked up ~ and i'll hopefully remember to report back. Thankyou again.

It is indeed the hot water heater and it lights up red when on mains power.
