water problem
Hi folks, can you help?? getting our symbol 2001 ready for summer, filled the water tank up and switched pump on to test all ok,
water started coming out of the cowel and the pump stays on, been told that the valve switch may have been turned off by accident but
cannot find it? Apparently under the drivers side bed but can't find a yellow lever?

Re: water problem
The Carver doesn't use a yellow drain switch so forget that. The drain is through the bottom left screw of the cowl/vent, if you undid it to drain for winter then perhaps you left it undone. If it's already tightened then it could be simply the sealing washer or the heater is leaking . If it's leaking from a screw at top left then that can be replaced, if it's leaking from the centre vents then it needs to be removed to see if tank has split .

Re: water problem
Hi Paul, thank you for your help yesterday, just took to dealers and its the boiler, some water must have been left in and freeze damage, so a mechanic is going to cap the hot water off and well just use cold. until we can get a new carver, which apparently will not be easy, so were keeping our fingers crossed:allthumbz:

I'm glad dealers fixing it. I thought perhaps you'd bought it privately. New Carvers are not available but there are people who refurbish them and plenty of second-hand ones on ebay. If you need any professional help, you can't get better than contacting Gary at arcsystems.biz who is the go-to person for all things Carver.
Just noticed you're in Nottingham, that's where Arcsystems are.
