T5 Trident, damp in the boot, nearside panel
Hello again! Sorry, another question...
With heavy rain overnight there's a slightly damp patch appeared at the base of the interior trim in the boot. It was dry over the weekend, but on close inspection it looks like it's been a problem before. It's below the fixed rear side window.
The only places I can imagine it's getting in are either the window seal, the seal between the body and hightop, the metal trim over the door slider, or the tail light assembly. Has anyone else had this please and could you point me in the right direction if so please?
Thank you!

Re: T5 Trident, damp in the boot, nearside panel
It's always a bit difficult to be sure, because of the way that water can track quite a long way sideways from wherever it's leaking, but on a T5 of that age, a "known problem" was the design of the fixings for the panel that fits over the middle sliding door rail, and possibly one of the grommets underneath it. IIRC the grommet covered the hole where the powered door motor was fitted on the higher-spec vans. The fixings are of a better design now, though IIRC you can solve the leaks more crudely by just slathering silicone sealant around them before putting the panel back!

....it's in the garage today for a thorough check, underseal and the replacement of those grommets and plug!
