LPG Gauge
We are loving our new to us Symbol! Currently enjoying the cosiness during our wet and windy trip to Southern Scotland! The LPG gauge seems to fluctuate dramatically between completely green and half-way green. It doesn’t seem to be linked to driving up or down-hill. Any ideas?

Re: LPG Gauge
This is only my experience with the gas monitor/gauge in my van.
When the van is on a steady flat road my gauge settles to a reading which I note as true, when the van is cornering/braking/ going up/down hills the gauge fluctuates. My gauge seems fairly accurate because when it read a quarter full I filled the tank and the amount that went into the tank was three quarters of the capacity of the tank. This is allowing for the fact that the tank will only accept 80% of it's total capacity.
In my opinion the gauge fluctuates due to varying pressure within the tank on movement of the vehicle. Hope this helps, but as mentioned this is only my view which I am happy to have corrected.

Re: LPG Gauge
Gauges are notoriously inaccurate and being a liquid which will slop about then its bound to fluctuate, although I have to say mine doesn't but its simply inaccurate, but it always read under what's actually in it so I should never run out .

Re: LPG Gauge
The best thing about our LPG gauge, is it always reads low, but I know I always have plenty of gas left. Rather this way than read full and run out. Even on red, never managed to get more than 9ltr's in.

Re: LPG Gauge
I've no idea what my gauge is doing whilst I'm driving because its too low for me to see. I can only see it after I have stopped and shoved my head down to the level of the gauge.

Re: LPG Gauge
Have been away for 11 nights in the new van now, lpg still reading full. If anything like my 2017 Symbol, it will fall to 50% sometime in the coming week and I’ll fill it and it will cost about 5/6E. I have little faith in the gauge so get some funny faces in petrol stations when I go to pay but who cares, at least I have gas :-)
