2003 Topaz bed make up
Hi all
Not sure if anyone can help but I’m trying to find out if the 2003 Topaz originally came with the ‘wedge’ shaped cushions which go on the driver/passenger seats when turned around to allow the seats to become part of the beds. We had them in our previous coach built motorhome (they were referred to as ‘elephant’s ears’ owing to their odd shape).
I’ve seen photos of these on earlier versions of the T4 Topaz, but I can’t find any images of ones from the 2000s onwards. I’ve attached a photo from a 1994 model as illustration.
I’ve spoken to the chap from whom we’re hoping to buy and he says that there are 3 infill cushions but I believe these are the ones which go between the front seats and bridge the gaps from the rear sofa/single seat once flattened.
Were these Elephant’s ears ever available on the later models or did AS discontinue them as they weren’t well liked and took up too much storage space?
Or am I just going mad and have entirely dreamt this up?

the back of the 'settee' uses the front seat base infills from our 2008 Topaz
there are more pics if you do a search with the word Topaz in the Search box in the top rt of the opening screen

Sorry if this is hijacking the thread but looking at all those cushions reminds me that I haven't really had a decent night's sleep in my Pollensa since having it because of the joins between the cushions and the unevenness.
Are there any strategies out there for dealing with this, e.g. mattress toppers?

We’re looking at the Duvalay 66cm mattress toppers with the fitted sheets as a relatively easily stored method of improving the beds (in the van that we haven’t actually bought yet lol).
We’ve always used toppers in our touring van and previous motorhome so reckon it’ll be a given in the Topaz.
Sure hope we like it next Saturday otherwise we’ll look pretty silly having made all of these enquiries. Hope y’all excuse our over-excitement!

We have a 2003 Topaz and yes they were supplied with three infill cushions, due to limited storage space we only use centre cushion
Filling gaps with conventional seat cushions works for us.

It’s (going to hopefully be) a T4, albeit a late one as I believe the T5 was introduced in 2003!
Thanks for your advice and the link to yours.

Nice, Yes the last few A/S T4 were very smartly finished and included a metallic pale green.
