2003 VW T4 Topaz Control Panel Settings
Hi there,
Last weekend my habitation equipment stopped working.
Traced to the 30 amp fuse in the engine bay next to the relays.
The fuse appears to have melted damaging the fuse / relay holder in the process. It looks possible that the fuse melted due to a bad contact rather than due to a fault.
I have put a lower amp fuse in to test if everything is ok (prior to me changing fuse holder) but when I check control panel I THINK? it is not operating as before (but maybe I don't remember correctly?)
Could some one with the control panel in the photo below perhaps check for me.
When the button on the left is in the neutral central position (ie: neither Hab nor Vehicle battery is selected) and the Master Switch is on (ie orange on switch is visible) is it possible to operate equipment ? For example if you press the battery button does it show the battery level or with the lights button on can you turn on a fluro light ?
I thought it was only possible to do this with either Hab or Vehicle battery selected but on my van I can do it with no battery selected. Is that normal ?
Many thanks to anyone who can help ?
Regards,
Dave

Re: 2003 VW T4 Topaz Control Panel Settings
Hi Dave
I just tried our Symbol which has the same panel with the following results:
240 disconected, left button in central position - nothing worked
240 connected, left button in central position - lights turned on.
I hope this helps
Paul

Hi Paul,
Thanks for checking that for me - much appreciated ;-)
Now I have got to work out what the problem is - I already tried changing the 2 relays but it was still the same ?
Cheers,
Dave
