gas fridge
Just done 300plus drive and now on no HU site, fridge popping on gas sounds like flame is being blown out. Sheltered intake from any winds but just the same. Can I leave it? Is it likely to cause any damage or should I eat the perishables pronto.
Any suggestions ?

Re: gas fridge
Yes, thats all good. I took the outer cover and can see the base of the burner seems to ignite burn then shut off only to restart, this happens very quickly and gives the sound when cooking on a gas ring in the wind although this is not that issue. I can see its quite mucky around the burner and I suspect the jet may be partially blocked. Haven't got access to tools needed to remove the burner so I think I shall start eating.

I once took an eyeshadow brush to mine (everything switched off and cool), did the trick. Suspect there had been a spider…

Re: gas fridge
The gas jets on these are tiny and, according to someone more knowledgeable than me, should never be cleaned by poking any old wire through it. The correct ones must be used, willing to bet none of us have one.
Best left to a gas qualified expert imho.
Just eat the fridge contents!!!

Perishable contents eaten,burp!
Removed outer cover, removed the burner to find the grid area had three sections missing under the ignitor. The ignitor lead had been running close to some thing hot a couple of inches up the wire and insulation had broken down. I refilled the on-board gas, had a quarter remaining, and all seems good so maybe an early indication of burner failure from lack of back pressure at the burner maybe. In any case I will replace the assembly and make sure the wiring runs clear of any heated pipework.Currently on EHU and will be for the rest of the trip to be safe. Any suggestions as to suppliers and where will I find the part number?
I will post some pics up when I do the replacement for reference purposes.
And yes, I will have the system gas checked and signed off safe after the install.

I may be wrong, but this sounds like exactly the problem that I had with the burner on my Flair a few years back. The gas had been burning at one of the two air intake holes in the mixer tube - one of which can be seen in the centre of this pic:

There's one of these holes on either side, and their purpose is to pull in air as the stream of gas passes by them, which then mixes with gas to burn at the burner on the left. But when the horizontal tube fills up with rust flakes (as shown in the foreground) enough back-pressure develops that instead of air going in, gas is forced out, and it burns in completely the wrong place.
In your case, it may be that parts of the burner itself (on the left, but removed in this pic) may have broken off and fallen into the space immediately above the air/gas outlet, causing back pressure instead of (or as well as) crud in the horizontal mixer tube?
Does this look like the correct location for your damaged wiring?

Re: gas fridge
Considering the vast cost of these fridges all of that could have been made in Stainless steel for very little more cost and worked forever apart from changing the jet occasionally

Luckily I was able to source a burner assy from an Ebay seller within easy distance of our pitch.
I have attached some images of the old and new burners.

It’s hard to say what normal is, but mine normally lights on the third click. Except for one time at 8500 feet, where it took 10-12 clicks but got there eventually. I’m not sure how carefully they are set up, presumably there’s a regulator which has been set to provide exactly the right pressure. In theory.
