Battery life
Hi
We own an Autosleeper Warwick XL, 2015 reg.
After a two day stay with no hook but very light use, up the leisure battery low warning came up.
When we got home I hooked up to our mains and after 24hrs the leisure battery reading was 13.3 volts, the
vehicle battery 13.4 volts, the hook up then being turned off.
I've just checked now and the readings are : Leisure 12.7 volts, vehicle 12.2volts.
The leisure battery has an indicator which is showing green, which is ok.
Given the age of the vehicle and assuming the batteries are original are they due for replacement?
any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Re: Battery life
Can't give you much information on discharge but have just replaced our leisure battery which is 10 years old and still on the original engine battery also 10 years old. I will replace that before the Winter. Would have expected more than 5 years service, many are guaranteed for that long these days, someone with more knowledge will be along soon I am sure!

Re: Battery life
Our Leisure battery failed at 18 months, vehicle failed at 4 years on our 2015 Duo.
Not luck with a claim, was told AS give 90 days cover!
I expect both were left uncharged on the dealer/factory which is not good for batteries.
Both been ok since and hold their charge.

Re: Battery life
Slightly off topic but ever thought about getting a noco boost jump starter?
I bought the 45GBX, not cheap at £135 but if you need it worth every bit. Arrived back at an airport after midnight jumped in the car which had been parked there for a month and it wouldn't start. (2.1 litre diesel)
Quickly connected the noco, fired straight up and away we went. That would have been a breakdown call out!

Re: Battery life
Hi,assuming you have the 80w solar panel and have selected smart charge, both batteries sound suspect. The leisure battery may be losing capacity leading to rapid voltage drop.My van has both batteries changed, the leisure battery quite easily handles a week of EHU without droping below 12.6v.The vehicle one is always 12.8v.My van spent years 3 and 4 unused at a dealer which probably didn't help battery life.

Thanks for your help everyone, much appreciated.
I think I'll take some jump leads with me next time out
and see how things go before splashing out on new batteries!
