Fridge
Hi
Wife did a silly thing , after a trip away emptied the fridge left the door slightly open as always but didn't turn it off so was looking for power so automatically used all of our gas.question is would it have damaged the fridge as the door was open. Can't turn it on now as back to dealer to have new air con fitted

Re: Fridge
Ok, a waste of gas, but it should have done no harm at all, in my opinion. There isn't much on an absorption fridge to wear out - the only moving part is liquid ammonia in the pipes on the back.

Re: Fridge
Hi update on fridge. Had the new air con fitted that's OK asked if they had checked fridge?,told that it was OK. Had it on last night to check it freezer department OK but fridge still warm.worst experience with the dealer in 3 years. Obviously they didn't check it properly. Looks like another trip to them!!. Any idea what the problem could be? Easy fix I hope. Going to France in 2 weeks .no chance of a new fridge in that time thanks again from not a happy person.!!

Re: Fridge
The body of fridge draws cold from the freezer box if that's OK, can't see the dealer finding anything else. How long did you try it for?
You need to place a thermometer in the ice box and see what temp it drops to overnight, if -14 or colder it's working fine, and body should be around +4 or +5

Re: Fridge
Hi thanks for your answer. It has been left on all night and all day. Just been outside again and the top vent (frezzer department is warm)bottom one is nothing, not warm or cold.fridge walls inside not cold.thought they would have been? Need to try the thermometer .I think next.
