Windscreen wipers
My Symbol ES has given me good service over the last 14 years. Recently the wipers have started to play up. The mechanism is free to move but the RAC guy tells me "it's probably the bearings' I've tried to get a replacement motor from spare parts suppliers and finally my local garage tells me that they are no longer available from Peugeot. Has anybody had this problem and is there a simple solution (other than getting a new van!!)?

Are you a member of the Peugeot Owners Club? If not it may be worth joining to see if anyone there can help you

Windscreen wiper problem
Thanks for the suggestion Taurian, I'll give it a go. This model of wiper motor seems to be fitted with a relay, which I believe is faulty. I may try getting it replaced. Thanks again.

Have you tried Buycarparts.co.uk - they seem to supply wiper motors.

Windscreen wiper
Yes! I ordered from buycarparts.co.uk what I thought was the part for my vehicle, using the date, engine, year and type etc. When I gave them the VIN number they replied the motor was not compatible and the main dealer was the only source. As I said the OEN that carparts gave me is no longer supplied by Peugeot. I am currently waiting for a refund.
