Help
How can I stop the drain tap on the boiler from dripping. It causes the pump to pulse, I’ve tried wiggling it which helps sometimes but not always.
I’ve just managed to stop it now but at sometime it will start to drip again.
Is it a big job to change it maybe?
Thanks for any help

Good heavens, what a coincidence! Today I received this reply from Truma, because on my recent 4 weeks trip I had the same issue:
"Thank you for your enquiry. The dripping you refer to will be coming from the condensation tube which is connected to the red hot water elbow on the boiler. This is a one way valve rather than a pressure release valve but water will drip from it from time to time when the boiler is in operation. It is normal to get some dripping but if water is constantly dribbling out, this may indicate that the valve needs replacing.
There are 4 different valves so it is important to replace it with the correct one dependent on your system. Please find the part nrs and pictures attached.
You can purchase Truma parts from your local dealer or from an online leisure retailer such as [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] or [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
I hope this is helpful but please come back to me if you require any further information."
As Paulmold said on a recent post which referred to this, it's apparently normal. But not to lose pints of water.

Hi Cymro,
Thanks for replying my boiler is a whale one I gather from your posting that yours is a Truma.
I think that the pipe on mine is only a drain off anyhow I've now put some gaffer tape over it to stop the drip. At the moment it seems to be working (fingers crossed)
