Winterised Kingham and drain downs
I have a 2017 Kingham which was fitted with the full winterisation kit by A/S. what I don’t understand is will it prevent the problems I see others have when the weather gets cold, that is drain down the waste and the fresh tanks.
Also how does the waste tank heater work
Many thanks

Re: Winterised Kingham and drain downs
The winter kit adds lagging to certain places, and has other modifications. But as I understand it, the kit does not obviate the need to drain down all water systems when leaving the van at risk of frost - i.e. when not using it during the winter. There are many threads on what is necessary - and the recent visual aid from PaulMold is an excellent starting point.
The waste tank heater (and fresh tank one) is a small pad which is stuck beneath the external tank, and radiates a little heat so as to help keep the tank from freezing. Because it's a very heavy user of power, it's regarded as essential only to use a heater when connected to mains. Most of us never bother.

You baffled me for a moment! Then I spotted it. Yes, spell-checkers can be a real trap!Barry the Bishop wrote:Thanks Cymro - spell checkers are a nuisance
Cymru = Wales
Cymraeg = Welsh Language
Cymro / Cymraes = Welsh man / woman
Cymric - little used English-language adjective.
But of course, because of the grammatical concept of mutation, these can change (e.g. "A Scotsman and a Welshman" = "Albanwr a Chymro"
I take off my hat to those who have mastered the language as learners.
