After being nearly scammed by a look alike tomtom site, I would appreciate it if someone could PM me a genuine telephone number for tomtoms contact us.

I don't ~think~ TomTom publish a contact phone number on their website - I think they expect you to raise a case via their "customer portal" or use the online chat facility. It means they can outsource their support anywhere in the world easily (and cheaply).
Incidentally it's quite hard these days for scammers to get lookalike websites to appear anywhere prominent via a search tool such as Google, so just putting "Tomtom" into Google (or any other leading search tool) should only take you to the right place if you use the result at the top of the list. To find scam sites you would probably have to scroll down a few pages.
For completeness, the official TomTom website is at tomtom.com

Go to this page and search for tomtom, you will find several numbers listed:

This is a very handy site to find geographical numbers for most major organisations, although it's now less useful since 0345, 0370 numbers etc are now more often used than 0870 and have become 'free' within most inclusive call packages.
