problem with on board water pump
Hi,
wondering if anyone can assist us with the above problem. We were away for a week with electric but our leisure battery died on us.
I have replaced the battery and all is well except for the pump which will not shut off. Our water tank is full and an aquaroll is attached.
The water is running fine from all the taps but the pump will not shut off. Any suggestions on the cause would be welcome.
Kind regards,
Ross and Ruth Williams

Is the dump valve open? If so you will have water under the van

There is an overflow tube which is pushing water out when the pump was on

That overflow will be outlet from dump valve, not sure where it will be in your can, usually near heater. Resetting should solve problem

Probably your pressure control valve needs adjustment, just 2 clicks anti clockwise. Manual should tell you where it is usually close to dump valve

I agree with gef. The Whale pressure switch is sensitive to changes in voltage which replacement of your LB has probably brought about. Page 7-3 of your manual should explain how to adjust it.

Many thanks for the replies. Will check out the pressure switch tomorrow and see if that helps.

If water is leaking out anywhere - which this post seems to suggest it is - then don't mess with the pressure switch until you have fixed the leak. It's entirely normal for the pump to keep running if even small amounts of water are leaking from the system.

I agree. I had only read the OP's first post which made no reference to water coming out of the drain valve.
