Mystery locator holes
Embarrassed to say never questioned the use of these keyhole shaped locator holes in the floor of our van until today. They are between the two circular table holes. Photo attached.

I think they are to fix straps that will hold a wheelchair or similar in place.

Re: Mystery locator holes
Well, they're keyhole slots as you say, but they're opposites in direction, so both cant be used at once?
As theyre in a what appears to be a side door doorway, Id guess at some kind of outdoor table support?.
You could of course just ignore them if nothing else in te van has the male half mating connector?!

Re: Mystery locator holes
I immediately thought, like Peter, that they are securing anchors for a wheelchair. I picked up some ratchet clamps at a car boot sale a while ago and it transpired that they were exactly that. However I would have thought that the "keyholes" should be turned 180 degrees.... the larger hole to the outside.

Re: Mystery locator holes
I see nothing else in the van that corresponds to these holes, I assumed they were common and you were going to all laugh and say something glaringly obvious. Nothing else in the van corresponds to à wheelchair user so I really don't think it could be that, 2 tables points already exist, does an outdoor table extention, as suggested by IanH exist?

Re: Mystery locator holes
Our van had these as well and we were told that a previous owner needed them to secure a wheelchair, this is born out by it having been previously classed as mobility, we removed them when we fitted new carpet in our '99 Duetto, it was quite a performance as the fuel tank is located directly below which must have been removed to install them, we drilled off the heads of the screws, as the nut underneath is inaccessible, then glued squares of plywood in with body filler and sanded the whole floor before fitting the new carpet.
If anybody wants them they can have them for the cost of postage otherwise they're in my might come in handy box!
