More pre purchase Bourton advice
Hi all
Thanks to all for previous responses, to my previous request for pre purchase advice.
We have now overcome our 'privacy issue', to some it was not a problem at all, which was very re-assuring.
Still procastinating but edging closer to purchasing, but have a few further questions;-
Autosleeper advise MIRO is calculated on the base vehicle, according to the only available handbook (2018) I can find on the web, they give fairly detailed advice about what is and what is not included, but no mention of the spare wheel !
1. Would the base vehicle include the spare wheel?
2. Has anyone had theirs, as delivered on a weighbridge, if so how close was it to the given MIRO? the plus or minus 5% would eat considerably into the payload if it was at the top end of the range.
Thanks in advance.
Ray

Well done on 'seeing your way through' the privacy non-issue.
Perhaps someone will confirm but I think if the spare wheel is supplied as standard, it will be included in the MIRO. If it is an optional extra, it will be part of the payload. My understanding is the MIRO is the converted vehicle, not just the base vehicle.

Sorry Ray not able to confirm that as my Bourton is a 2017 model and did come with spare wheel as standard (underslung behind rear axle) but you will be purchasing in the latest Mercedes chassis.
Also glad you are not letting the privacy issue guide your choice.

I am sure this is correct.Tinwheeler wrote:Well done on 'seeing your way through' the privacy non-issue.

Hi Ray,
My 2019 Bourton is on the later Sprinter chassis and does come with a full size spare wheel slung behind the rear axle. This is on a steel rim, with a remote inflation valve just under the side skirt above the grey water outlet.
If you obtain or download the AS Brochure (not the handbook)for all the range for the year of your model at the rear there is a summary in small print at the bottom of the technical specification pages of what the MIRO includes. This should help you understand.
