Similar question a couple of days ago. I posted my current favourites in the thread linked below. Farecla Profile first a polish followed by a wax uv protector.
Of course many and various other options.

Re: Anyone recommend a gelcoat cleaner?
There seems to be a complete misunderstanding of what the gelcoat is on this forum: it is the first (base) coat applied to the mould, designed to allow the moulded panel to release easily, this is followed by several layers of fibre-glass matting and tissue. What you are talking about is the surface coat, the shiny (or not) exterior surface. As an Engineer I've been dealing with glass-fibre bodied Lotus cars for about 50 years, btw.
Any kind of non-abrasive polish will bring up a shine.

As far as I remember from my boating days, wax is applied to the mould to release the panel that is formed, the gel coat is applied after the wax then the layers of fibreglass matting and resin, the gelcoat forms the finished shiny hard surface providing the waterproofing properties,Pete Taylor wrote:There seems to be a complete misunderstanding of what the gelcoat is on this forum: it is the first (base) coat applied to the mould, designed to allow the moulded panel to release easily, this is followed by several layers of fibre-glass matting and tissue. Where lies the "complete misunderstanding" ,other than your misunderstanding of these member posts ?

I've just been using the 3M product for boats and caravans that both cuts and polishes, on my 14 year old Eton. Several video's on You Tube etc.. I am very pleased with the result but fairly slow going.. They also do a wax and I might try this on top to see if it deepens the shine and provides more protection.

Use a wax after it will slow down the oxidation and keep the shine lasting longerWoodenhead Mike wrote:I've just been using the 3M product for boats and caravans that both cuts and polishes, on my 14 year old Eton. I've used Showroom Shine on my motors since it came on to the market many years ago and it is great. But it would not produce a shine on my motorhome, very disappointed.
