2020 WXL
Just making some enquiries at SV Tech to see if it's possible to uprate our 2020 WXL. If the answer is yes and I go ahead what difference would there be in the road tax?
Thanks for any help.

Re: 2020 WXL
If you get the weight over 3500 then it become Private Heavy Goods and the tax reduces considerably. Last year mine was £165.

SV are not the only company to offer the service, not recommending as haven't used them, just pointing out that there are other companies......

On the WXL I think you can do it yourself threw DVLA as the axle weight on the vin plate already add up to 4500kg if I remember correctly , away from the van so unable to check , a friend did this and just had to provide photo evidence of the vin plate with the V5 amended which he sent to DVLA ,he then had to buy a new vin plate showing the new weight

yes, as FL says, if the van has already been down plated (the WXL comes on the heavy chassis, front 2100kg and rear 2400kg, but plated at 3500kg then there it can be done through the DVLA.
My own van was upplated on delivery to 3850kg but i wanted to run it at 3500kg, the dealer arranged with DVLA and with manufacturer for a new plate.
