I have a red switch, that looks like a original fitment on my steering column. Any idea what it does?

I believe from previous posts that your Symphony is a 1998. Mine is a 1997 and I haven't got a red switch on the steering column. Usually the hazard flashers have a red switch but mine is in the centre of the dashboard. Does it have any symbol on it?

Try pressing it. I think you will find your hazard lights flash! smile!

come on guys you can do better. i have a big red button in the middle of the dash that's the hazard button. that works well. tested.

this as a rocker switch . looks like it must be a retro fit item.

How about what you can get in that rear locker above the back doors!!
i got 2 wine glasses a hat and a fire blanket.

Just done a 1,000 mile shake down trip to Le mans.
Only one problem, melted the 30 amp fuse near the battery that protects? the fridge.

If you've got wine glasses in that locker, then you have a serious problem - they aren't big enough!

We have a couple of chopping boards, a cheese grater, place mats for when we're feeling posh and a kitchen timer.

interesting Paul. Don't use any of those things, we travel light.
Have been known to use the glasses more than once though!!
Keep some larger ones for friends in another cupboard.

Boring I suppose, but we use it for long TV hook up lead, spare light bulbs (low energy), alarm clock, fuses, adapter, tv remote.

Quite amazing how much you can fit in such a small odd shape realy! lol4

well i did my own thing and removed the shrouds around the steering column.
Some testing of the wire with my multimeter and found it was in a circuit to the front parking sensors that are not working. It seems you switched on when you wanted the sensors to work at the front.
my back sensors work when i select reverse. content allthumbz
