Calor lite Empty Calor lite

Post by goldbunny Sat Jun 16, 2012 5:57 pm

I am back again this time to ask if anyone has changed over to calor lite gas bottles? If so will the dealers swop our 6k bottles for a 6 k lite and do you need new regulators? Questions questions!!
Cheers

Calor have changed their policy and will now swop 6kg standard for 6kg lites, the regulators are the same. Check here...

Calor lite Empty prices

Post by shelldrake Mon Oct 29, 2012 10:32 pm

I have been buying my Calor gas from the depot at Lee Mill outside Plymouth and thought I was getting a good deal After all, they supply the garages and sites etc. Wrong!
They charge £21.49 confused0 whilst Go Outdoors charge £18.99 up!
Paying them a visit tomorrow to get my 5% ciscount card and guess where I will be buying my gas from in future

Hi there,

In our area Morrisons are by far the cheapest Calor Gas supplier and they seem to go with the Calor Gas Policy on exchanges. (As opposed to a number of the local caravan sites who have an attack of the vapours if you try to get something different to what you are handing in!)

Best regards,

What size is that for may I ask? It's just that it seems impossible to do a price-comparison without either ringing each outlet or actually going there, and it's a pain in the *** quite frankly. For a 6kg I'm paying about £24 (well I've only bought one cylinder so far, so not claiming to be an expert in this area!).

I recently filled two 6KG gas lows for £18.00, didn't have to lift them into the gas locker either.

Thanks for that. Unfortunately the nearest branch to me is an hour's drive away at Lakeside, but useful info for when travelling.

Go Outdoors not viable for those in south east, as Dartford Toll charges add to the cost.

Calor Gas depot at Cranbrook, Kent offer discount if you are either C & CC or CC member. This was £19.45 a couple of weeks ago.
Compared to local Calor Gas dealer in Polegate ( Eastbourne ) currently charging £ 22.50 for Calor Lite bottle. Ouch!

As my works truck is often delivering through out the region, it's easy to pop in to Cranbrook hugegrins
