Duetto battery charger

Apologies if this has been dealt with elsewhere... I have had a trawl through some other posts but can't find the answer.

The on board battery charger in my 1996 Duetto is fitted at the back of the cupboard under the cooker. When I turn it on, the light on the charger itself comes on but the light on the Zig panel does not. I have checked with a test meter and the leisure battery is not charging. It charges when the engine is running.

Where do I start (keep it simple).

The green light is a “power good” light on the 12V side so if it’s on I’m surprised that there is no output. It means most of the internals are OK.
